28th Mar - I'm performing at London's 'Comedy Store'

Fans of the diary will recently recall me explaining how I was looking to make my debut in stand-up comedy this year. Real OGs of the diary will even recall me explaining how I had a 'list', made at the tail end of 2021, detailing what I would do, week-by-week, day-by-day (even hour-by-hour) to ensure I was organised in achieving everything I want to this year, from a big list of 10 or so 'resolutions'.

I knew that to in order to achieve these, I'd need to stay disciplined daily, completing all aspects of work and projects set, but more importantly, I'd need to be realistic, too. For example, I can't throw 12 different projects at myself in one month, so it's a case of being strategic with my planning on when to launch ventures, spacing them out evenly. So far, I've secured my volunteering mission to help African orphans in Ghana, I've been keeping an online diary for every day of the year, in addition to reading 2 new books per month, and working enough hours, and saving enough money to tick off all on my 'to visit' list throughout 2022.

There are, also a number of goals which are ticking away nicely alongside these, though I can only reveal those to you in due course. But the only difference between 'talk' and 'action', is drive. So I can now, happily, reveal that I'll be performing at London's iconic Comedy Store venue this Summer. The date has been confirmed to me so for full details, and ticket info etc, please feel free to get in contact with me directly. My 'material', following my first verbal rehearsal a few days back was a few minutes over my allotted time-slot, but I guess it's better to have too much material than not enough! There may also be time delays for hecklers etc, and the first thing I've versed myself in is how to handle them. I've already got a few sure-fire quips lined up in comeback, so don't even try it!

Alas, there's time to trim this bloated script down so I won't worry about that too much. Now, I just need to start memorising it off the top of my head... Easier said than done. But once again, I'm a firm believer, that the only factor of preventation is drive/motivation, and I've got enough of that to see me through. Before I go today, I want to tell you a quick story about my Grandfather, who was an airplane pilot for British Airways. He was a real character, and I was devastated when he passed away. When the time comes, I'd like to die in my sleep, like my Grandfather.

... Not wide awake, like his passengers.
