12th September - Where's Puny Gable?

I undertook something of a health analysis this morning, a detailed and comprehensive examination of my current health, and body, including bone density, hydration percentage, and numerous other complex factors. Perhaps the most surprising element of these results came when I learned that 11 stone of my current body weight is made up of the weight of my bones, whilst my body (with current muscle amount) at a rate of 0% body fat (essentially unachievable, for even the most hardcore of body builders, as we all carry at least a small amount of fat on our bodies) would weight 15 stone, 11 pounds.

However, at my 'skinniest', in my current 'adult' body frame (aka post puberty), I weighed 14 stone, back in 2011, which was when I was at University, and though it might surprise a fair few of you now, I was a pretty skinny little thing. A narrow, paled face, devoid of any facial hair, or even the ability to grow it. Smooth skin, a bony jawline, and narrow, puny arms. I've always been 6 foot 2 post-adolescence, but I'd wear 'Medium' from the Primark range, and even then, the jeans would hang off me and require a really tight 'Superman' belt to keep them up.

So it amazes me, that now, with even less body fat on me than I had back then, I'd naturally weight 2 stone heavier than it was ever possible for me to weigh 10 years ago. I was also told that when it comes to nutrition and weight etc, your age is also an important factor, but I couldn't fully understand why. Having said that, I guess the body of a fully formed man in his early thirties, with full muscle mass and density, and natural thickening of said muscle, will always weigh more than the 19 year old version of his frame. I've also learned that 'big boned' IS a thing, because mine weigh 11 stone. Now, talking of bones, if I can just stop consuming the ones covered in meat and gravy for a while, perhaps I'll start to head towards my optimum weight a bit faster and shred some of this chub. Either way, I've learned that I'll never weigh what I did as a teen in my life again, and fans of the 19 year-old me will always be left asking...

... Where's puny Gable gone?
