19th August - 40 months...
That’s how long we have waited for tonight. There is no club in the United Kingdom greater than London’s Ministry of Sound, (especially now that Printworks is closing down), and of the greatest nights to ever take place at the Elephant & Castle hotspot… Nothing compares to the Release Records showcase events. But despite a swift trilogy of fun throughout November 2017, June 2018, and April 2019, (3 events in 17 months), we’ve since had to wait the best part of almost 4 years to return to such hallowed of turf (cheers, COVID).
We’ll be making up for all that lost time tonight, as the Third Party boys once again dominate the main-room, with the likes of Pete K, Avenue One, Headkube, Stevie Krash, Corey James, and Matt Nash also in attendance. As far as these parties are concerned… If you know, you know, and if you don’t… You’re missing out. Truth be told, I’m not a huge fan of nights out in the U.K, they feel like a waste of resources, but the only thing I now have to ensure, is that I can somehow dodge an aggressive hangover tomorrow.
I might not even drink, to be honest. My recent sober trips to Ministry have probably proved even more fun that my drunken ones, and as we all know… You should never buy drinks in clubs anyway. They’re horrifically over-priced. Tonight, like EVERY night, is all about the music. I just feel so grateful to be surrounded by others who realise that, too. There’s one common denominator here, and the best nights of our life occur…
… Everytime that we’re together.
