28th June - I'm on a Yacht

Today proved to be a tricky choice to make... On one hand, I'd interviewed England rugby legend James Haskell over the weekend and had now been issued with a guest-list spot to his 'The Good, The Bad & The Rugby' tour, which - in some rare flash of coincidence - was being held in a venue extremely local to my home. But on the other hand, through a series of evolving events, I'd also been invited to stay on a Yacht in the Capital, following my day at Wimbledon today. Of course, there was only going to be one winner, (sorry James!).

Truth be told, I'd never quite seen the fascination with Yachts, but looking at this one, all that changed. Plus, it means I'm close to the water, and as you all know... Never has one man been so at one with the sea. Elsewhere in Gable-World, I'm off for a chat with Nicholas Latifi and Alexander Albon tomorrow, both drivers of the Williams F1 Racing Team. They'll be in West London and are also providing me with a chance to test my reflexes in a real-life simulator of their Formula One vehicles. Williams was actually the first constructor I really had a passion for in F1, growing up in an era where Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve emerged as World Champions for the team, so I'm really excited about it.

Anyway... I'll keep this one short, as it was an early start today to gather my place in the iconic 'Wimbledon Queue'. But before I go, make sure you send a photo of yourself watching Wimbledon, and tag it on socials @leonrestaurants. As simple as that, they'll send you a £10 voucher to spend in their stores - Free food! Right, I'm off for a coffee and a little chill on the Yacht... Adios!
