3rd April - Do me up the Farmhouse
Shout out to the in-laws. That was, as Chris Eubank Snr would say, a 'stupendous' weekend. Specifically my sister-in-law, and especially her partner, who managed to tickle my intellectual hotspot on account of his own emotional intelligence. We conversed for a lengthy duration on human behaviours and all those 'deep' subject matters which only stimulate certain neurological types. I'm certainly one of those people. I have a good friend named Sophie who also ticks such a box. And then, much to my joy, I discovered over the course of this weekend, that Niall is indeed one of these types too. Somebody who much prefers the more philosophical side of conversation to the 'small-talk' which other personality types can revel in.
See, it all reverts back to Carl Jung's theory that every human sits within one of four axis in terms of behavioural type. Whether introvert/extrovert, leader/debater etc etc. I strongly implore you to find out yours via this quick (free) questionnaire, because once you realise your own type, everything else around you makes perfect sense. My own personality, for example is that of an 'Assertive Commander', aka, an 'ENTJ-A'. This is actually an incredibly rare personality type, with only 3% of the population possessing this title, and this means I'm 52% extroverted, and 48% introverted, I'm 61% intuitive and 39% observant, my daily choices are made up of 68% thinking and 32% feeling, my approach to work is 82% judging and 18% prospecting, and my decision making is 54% assertive and 46% turbulent.
ENTJ's are charismatic and confident and project authority in a way that draws crowds together behind a common goal. These types of people are characterised by a ruthless level of rationality, using their drive, determination and sharp minds to achieve whatever goals they've set themselves but they can overwhelm the more timid and sensitive personality types that make up the majority of the rest of the world. Famous celebrities who share the ENTJ-type personality include Gordon Ramsay, Steve Jobs, Harrison Ford, and Jim Carrey, and though the main weakness of an ENTJ is arrogance, they tend to throw themselves into all areas of their lives with equal vigour and effort, including friendships, and relationships.

Anyway, enough about that for now... We also ventured out to a Farmhouse Inn and if you've never been, now's the time to go. The carvery is a mesmeric Willy Wonka world of delight as they challenge you to pile on as much as you can from various hotpots of parsnips, mash, roasties, veg, gravy, stuffing and - most importantly - mint sauce, while the chefs themselves dish you up cuts of meat, fluffy yorkshires, and pigs in blankets. The latter served, even in April! All topped off by an afternoon/evening in...
