23rd April - We're off to Wembley!

Here we go then! Tonight marks not just the biggest ever sporting event to take place in Great Britain, but the biggest boxing event to ever occur in Europe. 94,000 will pack into Wembley Stadium, a capacity record (even for this iconic venue!) as the best of Britain go head-to-head in this heavyweight clash for the WBC Championship of the World. I'll be one of them, and the plan is to watch Arsenal wallop Man United at the Emirates before sinking a few more drinks and heading over to Wembley Park for the build-up. I might even have to utilise my black card at Box Park Wembley, as I'm sure this will be a raucous pre-fight atmosphere.

For me, there's only one winner here, and though I respect Dillian Whyte's brawler style, technically he's far inferior to Fury, who can pick off just about anyone at any point he chooses (as demonstrated in parts II and III of the Wilder trilogy). I certainly think Whyte has improved since his loss to AJ in 2015, and you can guarantee he's be slogging it out with those trademark 'bodysnatcher' shots until he's dead on his feet, but Tyson's reach advantage definitely gives him the upper edge here, and I'm plumping for a 7th round TKO.

One thing I'll add, is that this one in the latest line of bucket-list events I'll be attending this year, because quite frankly, life's far too short not to! I spent the majority of my childhood and early adult hoods staring at my TV screen, wishing I could be a part of things like a big Wembley fight, Swedish House Mafia at Madison Square Garden, a World Cup tournament in an exotic country like Qatar, or the glamour of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. I'll be attending all the above over the course of the coming 7 months, because in a post-lockdown world, memories are there to be gobbled up!

You can't tell me you're a fan of dance music if you've never been to Ibiza. Similarly, you can't tell me you're a Tennis lover if you've never been to Wimbledon. Some people talk, other people pork, and this year is a non-Halal zone baby! When the lights go down at around 10pm tonight and the ringwalks begin, my pants are gonna shift to a strange shade of 'excitement brown'... All together now: "Reaching out, touching me, touching youuuuu...."

... "Sweet Caroline!"
